Asian Drama of The Week 3
The good thing about these posts is that there may not be many or any spoilers because I never usually remember the full moments. I do remember if I thoroughly enjoyed it to the end and if I felt satisfied at the end. There are quite a bit of dramas where I really felt good about and then the ending ruined it. This week’s drama made me bawl my eyes out, kept me on my toes (or rather confused), and completely satisfied. That is: It’s Okay, That’s Love
“Jang Jae-Yeol is a mystery writer and radio DJ. He suffers from an obsession. Ji Hae-Soo is going through her first-year fellowship in psychiatry at a University Hospital. She chose psychiatry because she doesn't want to perform surgeries. After she meets Jang Jae-Yeol, her life goes through big changes.” - Asian Wiki This show is starring Jo In-Sung and Kong Hyo-Jin but have also other notable people such as DO from Exo, Lee Kwang-Soo and Sung Dong-Il. I originally watched this show because of Kong Hyo-Jin because I enjoyed her role in Master’s Sun. I thought the chemistry between the main characters were great and they made the roles really believable. There was a scene where Jae-Yeol was in the hospital...not going to explain why but it was probably the most heart-breaking scene between the two characters and I literally bawled which is usually rare. I may tear up now and then but I cried. The support characters were hilarious and made sense in the story. I don’t think there was anyone that I didn’t like in the show. If you have watched Coffee Prince or the Reply Series, you know how funny Sung Dong-il can be. I give props to the writer. This story kept me on my toes! As usual, the main characters had issues or something that they always have to get over, whatever you would like to call it. I wasn’t as confused watching it. It was pretty straight forward but then things start to unravel and THEN the confusion sets in because then you would be like, “Wait! This isn’t actually what went down?” Followed by a big, “OH” at the last episodes of the show. The ending is the way I like endings. When everything is pulled together and there are no cliff hangers. I also like when you can kind of see what is in store for the characters. There have so many endings that I felt were rushed or just didn’t make sense because it just… ended. The ending was so cute and happy. So this definitely something to put on your list! Did you watch, “It’s Okay It’s Love”? What did you think? No spoilers though! ^.^
