Welcome To My World: Renee Brittany
Renee Brittany is a journey of where I am at this moment. It came back full circle because I am back to where I started and that is doing what I fully enjoy even if it means dabbling in more than one area.
Renee Brittany is the side of my hustle where I help other side hustlers and small business owners showcase their brands via graphic design. I have created logos, business cards, flyers and much more. The other part is sharing what I love by dabbling in different arts and crafts, photography and gaming.
I started this company with the same intention throughout the years, even with the changes within the last decade. That is to help others build their vision. Because of a group of friends, I decided to turn this passion into a business. My friends had a business idea and had no idea how to go about social media or anything related to marketing. It morphed into me taking more courses and experimenting with other projects such as videography and photography. After a few years, I slowed down and figured out what I truly loved doing the most.
If there are people that have been following for years, the name has changed over and over and over again. From KyeWik Services to Reneebritt Media to ReneeBritt Photo and Design to what it is now Renee Brittany. Now, why did I stick to a name for a business name? With the number of times I have changed my services and products, I decided that using a name - my name - was more of a reflection of me and had more fluidity if I decided to go different routes. If I wanted to add other services later, it wouldn’t affect the name the same way if I had "media", or "design".
On a personal level, I love everything creative. When I was younger, I was always writing, drawing, making up or learning choreography/dancing, reading, some light gaming, crafting, and listening to music constantly. Nowadays, I still listen to a lot of music and craft; and gaming has also increased exponentially.
Asian dramas and K-Pop have been the constant interest that I have had over the years. I wish I made more time to learn some more choreo but if anyone is familiar with K-pop and how the generations then you will know that I don’t think my body can move like 4th gen idols anymore LOL. There’s truly a huge difference in complicity. (2nd Gen Idols FTW!)
Animal Crossing started my flare in gaming again. I legitimately played animal crossing for well over a year daily, not missing a day. Other games came along such as Stardew Valley and Super Mario Odessey… I lost count of how many games I have at this point but I can tell you… I may have only actually completed two games LOL. It’s still a work in process. Somewhere in there I also branched into PC gaming but that was really because I used to play the sims constantly and it was taking up TOO much space on my Mac. I ended up acquiring a gaming laptop just to offload it and then ended up in a rabbit hole of other games such as Coral Island, No Place Like Home, DreamLight Valley and Hogwarts to name few.
When it comes to crafting, I have taken a love for diamond painting, and have dabbled in candle making. I also have attempted to make a pompom rug. Some of these projects are still a work in progress but I love trying new things. I also get a fuzzy feeling and a sense of accomplishment after creating something.
So why did I spend all this time explaining my experience and personal things? I am a super friendly person who when interacting with others likes to have fun. I like to get to know the person I working with and form a bond. Working together should be fun and collaborative and not feel like strictly business.
